Viewing your physical body in a new light

Recently I've had a number of clients who have seen me for physical issues.

I noticed that we tend to take our physical body for granted when nothing is "wrong" or when we do not feel #pain. When we notice something off, we automatically go into the mode of "there is something wrong with my body and I have to stop this pain".

It is my strong belief that the body has this innate intelligence - it knows what it's doing. So, if the body is making you notice it, there's a reason why.

Our physical bodies ARE energy - different "layers" of ourselves vibrate at different rates... so some things you can't necessarily see but you can sense (e.g. emotional/mental/spiritual body) and others you can see because it vibrates at a much slower rate (i.e. our physical body). Often, things manifest in our physical body when we have not dealt with it on the other levels. It's the last place for imbalances to show up.

What I've found is that if you can shift your perspective in terms of viewing "pain" of "physical issues" with the body from one which is negative to something that is positive and actually indeed healthy, this can help you on your path to #healing.

E.g. I've noticed in my practice that excema is related to unresolved anger and resentment. In a recent client, it was herself - she rejected herself. For me, it was towards my parents and myself. The chronic pain that another client of mine had was a result of her not wanting to be here on this Earth because of the abandonment and rejection she had as a child. It was better for her to be "off world" than being safe in her body.

The physical symptoms that we feel are a result our body is saying "I need you to look at this. You're ignoring yourself that I have to make you do something to take notice. Come back to me so we can heal together."

When your body exhibits pain or some other physical symptom, instead of cursing it, perhaps show it gratitude instead. "Thank you for reminding me there is something I have overlooked". You might be surprised then that the symptoms reduce and fade as you do the work on yourself.

Many times when clients come to me for #shamanicsessions or other #healingsessions, there is an expectation that I will be able to tell the client the underlying reason why things are happening the way they are in their lives. This is absolutely fine to me as I rely on our #spiritguides to give me the information so that the healing can unfold during the session.⁠

There are times however, where there are clients who come to me simply because I provide the #sacredspace to witness and observe their vulnerability, their journey and their emotions to allow them to make their own self realisations about why they are in the situation that they are in and allow the #selfhealing to occur.⁠

I personally am so honored to be able to be the witness in these sessions, especially as I get to witness the client undergoing their own healing process with little intervention. There is something empowering about being able to make certain realisations around the patterns of your subconsciousness, and then make the choice that you no longer want to stay in that pattern.⁠

A recent client of mine has been seeing me as she has been suffering from undiagnosed PTSD for over 26 years. Initially there was a reluctance in her to dive into the painful emotions, but over a few sessions, her demeanor changed and she fully embraced the emotions that were coming through her body. ⁠

In our last session, she made the biggest realisation around her predicament which was "I prefer death to intimacy". That brought up so much pain and emotion for her but also shed a lot of light in terms of her behaviours and how she contributed to where she was now.⁠

It was so empowering for her as she now knows what she needs to work on in order to heal. I didn't have to do anything to "read" her energy or tell her what was going on, she made that realisation on her own.⁠

I'm really humbled and glad that I could be a witness to her unfurling healing journey. In her words: "Thanks for your amazing work to hold the space to journey this with me".⁠
