Why your organs play a more important role in your life than you realise

When it comes to our physical healing and health, many of us tend to focus on the obvious parts of the body like the muscles, ligaments and bones. We go to a chiropractor or osteopath to get a physical adjustment. If we have sore and aching muscles, we’d hit up our massage therapist or myotherapist. If we are trying to recover from injury, we tend to go and see a physiotherapist. Most of us wouldn’t even think about the state of our organs unless something is drastically wrong with them (i.e. they’re failing us)!

Why you are probably stressed out and don’t realise it

If I asked you, “are you stressed?”, how many of you will say “not me”? When I was a lawyer, I wouldn’t think I was stressed out because it was just part and parcel with what I did – I had to handle client demands, I had to put up with micromanagement from my bosses, I had to learn and apply areas of law that were not my specialty area, and I had to learn how to manage people. It was the only life I knew and therefore I just had to put up with it. I knew no other alternative.

Concussion and Craniosacral Therapy – Why it’s important to take head injuries seriously

As a massage therapist, I am very fortunate to be given the opportunity from time to time to massage professional sports teams like the Sydney Roosters. To be honest, before I received this opportunity, I didn’t follow NRL at all, but since then, I’ve been watching a lot more games (it also helps that my partner is a mad Penrith Panthers supporter), and the thing that strikes me the most is the amount of head injuries that the players sustain during the game.
