Why You Should Practice Spiritual Discernment Before Any Energy or Spiritual Work
Over the years of working as a healer and teacher, there’s one thing I always come back to — the importance of discernment.
Before stepping into deeper energy healing, spiritual teachings, or even classes like my Akashic Records workshop, I believe it’s essential to practice spiritual discernment and understand how it works for you.
This isn’t about doubting everything or living in fear — it’s about learning how to listen to yourself and recognise when something is truly right for you… and when it’s not.
What is Spiritual Discernment, Really?
Spiritual discernment is the ability to tune in and feel what resonates for you — beyond logic, beyond emotion, and beyond what someone else tells you is “right.”
I don’t want anyone to attend my offerings thinking I have the full truth. I share from experience and training, but your truth is yours to uncover.
Discernment helps you:
-
Trust your gut when something feels off
-
Stay centred when others share conflicting perspectives
-
Make choices aligned with your energy and integrity
-
Feel more confident in your spiritual path
Why It Matters Now More Than Ever
We’re constantly bombarded with teachings, tools, and spiritual information. Without a solid discernment practice, it’s easy to absorb beliefs that don’t actually serve you — and even harder to notice when they pull you out of alignment.
This is why I encourage all my clients and students to get familiar with their inner “yes” and “no.” When you practice spiritual discernment exercises regularly, it becomes second nature.
Want to Try It for Yourself?
I’ve recorded a short spiritual discernment exercise that’s simple, accessible, and something you can return to anytime. It’ll help you begin building that internal compass — the one that keeps you grounded in your own truth.
If you’re feeling drawn to work with me — in a session or class — I encourage you to do the exercise first. Let it guide you in knowing whether it’s right for you.

When you’re anchored in your truth, it’s hard for anything to shake you. And that, to me, is the foundation of empowered spiritual growth.
