How to Release Fear and Live Fully After a Challenging Year

How to Release Fear and Live Fully After a Challenging Year

After everything we experienced in 2020, I think many of us were more than ready to welcome the energy of a new year. Collectively and individually, we were shown what wasn’t working — in our lives, in society, and in the systems we once trusted.

2020 gave us the space to pause and reflect. It offered a powerful opportunity to reevaluate what really matters, even if those insights came wrapped in discomfort, uncertainty, or restriction.

As we moved into 2021, the message was clear for me energetically: It’s time to release fear and live fully.
Not one day. Not someday. Now.

All around us, we’ve seen that the status quo is no longer enough. Whether it’s global politics, media, leadership, or personal truths — more and more people are waking up, speaking up, and deciding that they want something different.

But what do we do with all of this?

We may not be able to shift the world overnight, but we can take a deeper look at our own lives. We can start by asking:

Change starts from within.

When we release the fear that tells us we’re not ready or not enough, we begin to move differently in the world. When we align with our truth, we naturally become a permission slip for others to do the same.

And here’s the thing about fear: it will always find a way to stop you — until you decide not to listen.
Fear says: “You can’t.”
Truth says: “You’re already doing it.”

This year — and every year forward — is your opportunity to step into your full expression. Not in some grand or performative way. But in a grounded, real, embodied way.

Because life isn’t waiting. And you don’t need to either.

P.S If you need a little inspiration, I highly recommend watching Disney’s Soul. It’s a beautiful reminder of why being alive — fully and presently — is the point.
